How Artificial Intelligence will impact the Future of Tourism
Organized by the World Tourism Organization, the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and the Digital Agenda of Spain and the Government of the Principality of Asturias, the II UNWTO World Conference on Smart Destinations, will be held in Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) from the 25th – 27th of June 2018. The objective of the Congress has been to lead and shape new tourism models for the 21st century based on innovation, technology, sustainability, governance and accessibility, components of the Smart Tourist Destinations. Over the past years, advances in technology have led to the invisible ubiquity of Artificial Intelligence without most people even noticing. Although machine learning is already the backbone of many tourism-relevant apps and services, the most visible manifestation of AI in tourism have been virtual assistants. This last Smart Talk of the #SDWC2018 offer the opportunity for participants to get the latest insights on how AI will impact the future of tourism.

Highways and Roads Portfolio Planning, Scheduling and Prioritizing 1 of 4
Projects prioritizing in public sector, I am providing 4 videos (please check our YT channel below) with examples on planning for government projects from early initiation stage to construction. This method is applicable to developers in private sector to ascertain extend. There will be four videos. I used project portfolio management prioritizing methods for highways as example. It could be any type of projects, however, there are differences on how we think about it. Highways are good examples because you can initiate the planning form good detailed terrains Ariel maps which give us the visualization to put our data on it to start the initial planning.
The first video discuss how to plan the highways prioritizing using the statistics data and location map on the initial stage. After that, pre-feasibility, design and construction stages. It discuss only, here what we can suggest to the consultants and contractors to study, design and build as part of writing TOR scope before starting the projects. It is client side analysis. After that, full studies to choose the right option and estimate of cost will be conducted. To finalize the options priority, we evaluate its cost and construction schedules to prioritize the projects.
