Better Than GPT-3? Meta Unveils Mind-Blowing AI That Will Change Everything | AI News
Everyone is wondering when we'll finally get [Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) GPT-4], but Meta AI's latest research revealed a game-changing AI model called ToolFormer. With ToolFormer, the future of natural language processing just got a whole lot smarter. Welcome to this edition of AI News here on PathFinder!
Is ToolFormer really better than [Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) GPT-3]? Is "Mind-blowing AI that will change everything" an overstatement?
Traditional language models, like ChatGPT built on [Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) GPT-3.5], and to some extent Bing's chatbot Sydney, are limited to their own internal knowledge and training data, which means they can often struggle with basic tasks that fall outside of their core competency of text generation.
ToolFormer, on the other hand, can understand what you're asking for, and then figure out the best way to provide an answer or perform a task using the right tool or software program. And it can do all of this nearly autonomously, making it a powerful tool for augmenting human intelligence and improving our ability to perform a wide range of tasks, i.e. the ultimate assistant as far as artificial intelligence goes.
